Hey, hope you are doing well. Do you know what is aggravating, its talking to my teenage sons and watching them not listening to me. They are thinking of their response and not even trying to hear what I am saying. I know, that's part of their development and learning to mature into adults. Its still a pain in the neck. I also see it on the news, congressional broadcasts, hearings, and in everyday conversations.
The purpose of this platform is as follows:
Learn - I encourage discussions on the blogs I post and promise to maintain an open mind. I'm not here to impose my beliefs on you; rather, I strive to learn from your perspectives. If you wish to contribute, please do so. Your active involvement and voice matter here. While healthy and even heated debates are welcome, personal attacks against anyone, including participants of this blog or others, will not be tolerated. If you have a personal issue or disagreement with the current president, governor, or any other elected or appointed official, please address it professionally. It is imperative that we practice presenting well-thought-out arguments if we want our voices to be heard. Moreover, when someone raises additional points about an argument, let's respond graciously to their critique and engage in subsequent conversations. It is crucial that we take the time to truly listen to opposing views and refine our own opinions and beliefs through this process.
Teach - If you have valuable insights to share that are relevant to any ongoing conversation, please don't hesitate to do so. When you teach, you not only contribute to the knowledge of others but also deepen your own understanding of the subject matter. You never know, teaching might even prompt you to reconsider your stance on certain matters. I, for one, have experienced such shifts in perspective.
Grow - Perhaps the most significant objective here is personal growth. I aspire to grow through my interactions with you. Recognizing that I have much to learn, I eagerly anticipate the growth that will come from our engagement together.
It doesn't matter what political party you associate with. If you believe in the idea of America, this is the ideal place for you to learn, teach, contribute, and engage.
So, please don't respond without thinking and trying to understand where the other person or group is coming from.
